Coffee

From Wikipedia
Coffee is a brewed beverage prepared from roasted seeds, commonly called coffee beans, of the coffee plant. They are seeds of "coffee cherries" that grow on trees in over 70 countries. Green coffee is one of the most traded commodities in the world, often described as being second only to crude oil[1] although this often repeated "fact" is subject to more careful scrutiny.[2] Due to its caffeine content, coffee can have a stimulating effect in humans. Today, coffee is one of the most popular beverages worldwide.

Storage

Once roasted, coffee beans must be stored properly to preserve the fresh taste of the bean. Ideally, the container must be airtight and kept cool. In order of importance, air, moisture, heat, and light are the environmental factors responsible for deteriorating flavor in coffee beans.

Folded-over bags, a common way consumers often purchase coffee, are generally not ideal for long-term storage because they allow air to enter. A better package contains a one-way valve, which prevents air from entering.

We serve a house blend of Moca Java, Dark Sumatra, and Columbian. Our coffee is freshly roasted, and ground each morning. We also prepare french press coffee for those that prefer a richer coffee beverage.

We also serve espresso based drinks using either Italian or French dark espresso roast. We sometimes blend two different roasts together.

When possible we use Free Trade, Organic coffee in our shop.

Occasionally we will try other roasts
